Building Big Bridges

I told my little guy that if you want to build big bridges, you need help from others.  Whether it is a big bridge, plane, boat, road system, or even services – whatever the dream – if it is big enough, you need to find ways to get others to help you.  And no one will want to help you if you’re mean to them.

I explained to the little guy that being ‘nice’ and playing ‘nice’ with others is probably one of the most important things to learn in order to be successful in achieving those big dreams.  We practiced some words and phrases to use on how to say things in nicer ways and how parents, adults and others are not here to be Slaves to 5 year olds.

It will take some more time – afterall, he is only 5, and I know people in their 30’s, 40’s and up who don’t know this yet.  He’ll learn because I know he wants to build big bridges one day.
