its time for a mid-life car

I’ve been eyeing a car for days on end, and it’s driving me nuts. There is not one iota of practicality to this car. It’s fast, spunky, got more than I’ll ever need and is simply more car than I should have. Plus, it’s expensive too. It’s probably not so hot on gas either. So, why do I keep looking at it? I think my brain is thinking it must be time for a mid-life car. You know, those ones that show up in red and two-doors.. maybe missing a roof too. Those damn wheels that are usually driven by some middle aged fool trying to feel younger. Crap. When did I become that fool?

Luckily for me, I don’t look quite like a middle aged fool, but I feel like one. What’s a car got to do with age or life? I know what the right kind of car suits my lifestyle, and it definately doesn’t come with a high potential for speeding tickets. I haven’t got a budget for those things. Perhaps I should seat myself onto a motorcycle instead? AAAAACCCCKKKKK. Mid-life bike? Hell no.

Someone knock some sense into me, and and show me the practical car I need. You know, the one that sells well, and everyone else drives. The reliable one. The fuel-efficient one. The family car. Who am I kidding? I should simply embrace this nutty feeling. I should get stupid, make bad choices, and pretend like I’m in my teens, but with money. Yay. Bring me a private jet, and let’s get this mid-life party started.
