a song

I’m here for one reason, and one reason only. I have nothing even to say, but I wanted to share this beautiful song I just happened upon by freakish accident.

– Daisy

  1. Don’t you just love freakish accidents?

Do you understand the Spanish or is it just the “feel” you like?

Yes, I do love those freakish accidents, I have no clue what the song is about (except that Mariposa is spanish for butterfly), and yes, it is 100% based on how it sounds/feels. 🙂 – Daisy

    • In a way I’m glad you said that. Music for me is all about mood. How a song (or a piece of music) makes me feel is often more important than what the original intention behind it was. A great example is a recent popular track that was all about a difficult break-up, but everytime I heard it, it made me really happy. 🙂

I’m afraid my Spanish is not good enough to give you a detailed translation but they are called “Van Gogh’s Ear” (great name for a band) and the song is indeed called Butterfly. The lyrics follow the theme that time is too precious to wait around and that a chance on love should be acted upon immediately. The chorus talks about taking a chance and putting on the guise of a butterfly. Its flight will set us free.

      Nice find Daisy.
